The Retail Market Place has seen many extreme changes that are setting the path to a “new normal”.   Surviving in the retail world has always asked a lot of retailers, and today it is asking them to profitably grow their omnichannel and better engage with their customers.

Customer experience – adapt to survive

Retailers require a combination of a great shopping experience and an efficient e-commerce platform that engages with the consumer and provides full visibility of available inventory through the supply chain.  Retailers who have managed this best over the last 12 months have found their business not only surviving but, in many cases, thriving due to the success of their omnichannel.

Design and manufacturing

Checkpoint Systems is a leader in the market because of our ability to support these changes in retail with our vertically integrated hardware, software, RFID tags, and labels.  We have over 50 years of experience in driving increased profitability for retailers through innovation and accountability. Our client success team is there every step of the way to guide retailers through their implementations and helping to minimize any risk.

Our primary differentiator is our design and manufacturing capabilities for RFID solutions, including tags, labels, hardware, and software. Checkpoint’s state-of-the-art research and development team design all the product lines we provide to our retail partners, for labeling, hardware, and software.

Vertically integrated solution provider

We are a fully vertically integrated tag and label provider: designing and manufacturing our own RFID inlays, converting them into tags and labels with the ability to print and encode in our global production facilities. This all starts with Checkpoint’s RFID Lab.  As part of our innovation goals, we work closely with the RFID chip manufacturers to ensure our inlays are evolving and meet the needs of the ever-changing market.

When working with a supply chain, our hardware solutions provide full visibility of a product’s journey.  Whether it’s confirming the correct products are leaving the factory or accurately verifying inbound and outbound shipments at the distribution center; Checkpoint’s RFID hardware provides the actionable data required for full product visibility.  Examples of this hardware include RFID tables, cabinets, and tunnels, all designed and manufactured by our specialist teams for supply chain environments.   Once the product is in the store, Checkpoint can recommend the right solutions for optimizing the productivity and success for store associates.  Every piece of hardware we install links to our HALO software platform.

HALO is the key

HALO, a Software-as-a-Service platform, is an action-centric platform that facilitates maximum efficiency, driving revenue-generating actions. Our supply chain module provides inventory visibility in the distribution centers, enabling seamless tracking of merchandise from source to shopper.

HALO’s Store Inventory elevates inventory accuracy by revolutionizing the inventory count. With an RFID handheld and a smart device, store associates scan inventory and displays to get accurate data typically within 30-45 minutes.  HALO transforms fulfillment of omnichannel orders, so buy-on-line, pickup in-store or ship-from-store orders are sent to stores with the available inventory and seamless integration to the e-commerce platform for order fulfillment and billing.

Powered by HALO software, retailers have a complete inventory management software solution.

Client success model

Our Client Success team is another key differentiator. The team works with retailers to implement the full solution. We see the pilot as the most critical part of the project. Our Client Success model is built on the below three pillars:

  1. Predict ROI with a Store Scan: Checkpoint’s Client Success team works to create a custom business case where we Predict what the impact of RFID can be on an organization. A common way we can do this is through a Store Scan, where we begin to understand what portion of the store is already tagged with RFID, or we tag up a portion of the store ourselves to help provide an analysis of current inventory accuracy and how those discrepancies can impact the business.
  2. Prove ROI with a RFID pilot: During this part of the process, we will set out to prove the business case in a small pilot. This is where we can help minimize risk factors within the stores and work closely with corporate teams to ensure training material and change management processes are implemented for optimum success during the pilot. As the pilot progresses, our Client Success team then begins helping the teams build the business case for rollout and begin the necessary conversations around integration and deployment activities.
  3. Deliver ROI by deploying with Checkpoint: Our work does not stop there, as we help then Deliver the rollout solution, providing the opportunity for business goals to be met through implementation and into the future.

Checkpoint is well-positioned to support the needs to successfully implement and manage RFID-enabled companies in the retail environment.  We are here to help ensure retailers are not only surviving the unknowns of the future but are ready to take advantage of these changes and use them to grow their business.
