Checkpoint Systems \u2013 a global leader in retail technology solutions \u2013 has launched an updated version of its market-leading NS40 antenna. The NS42<\/strong> benefits from all the same award-winning features as the NS40, but with different installation options available, meaning this revolutionary free-standing sensor can now be located anywhere in-store, rather than being confined to a checkout.\u00a0 As a result, it provides grocery retailers with a discreet but powerful loss prevention solution that can provide protection at any point on the shop floor.<\/p>\n

Developed in response to demand from retailers for an NS40 antenna that could be placed in different locations around a store, the NEO-based NS42 antenna<\/strong><\/a> features the same award-winning design<\/a>, detection and ease-of-installation characteristics as the NS40. These include an ultra-slim, unobtrusive and slick design that can be tailored to any different retailer requirements without an adverse impact on detection rates.<\/p>\n

Thanks to patented 360\u00b0 circular array technology, the NS42 <\/strong>delivers excellent, high-performance detection, with Bluetooth connectivity for easy deployment. With customisable LED light and sound files, the sensor enables alerts to be dealt with efficiently by the store operator. This \u2018early\u2019 loss prevention alarm helps tackle incidents of non-deactivation promptly, particularly if the antenna is installed at the checkout and aids the retailer in the successful recovery of goods before they reach the exit doors.<\/p>\n

Available in a brushed steel finish as standard, the NS42<\/strong> can be painted, powder-coated or vinyl wrapped to match a store\u2019s visual identity. Custom Voice messages and a variety of sounds and coloured LEDs can be created for different alarm events.<\/p>\n

Additionally, the connectivity of NEO<\/a> delivers historic trend data via the SaaS Cloud service, providing retailers with a rich source of activity data to improve shrinkage results and help monitor store performance, while also providing proactive maintenance support, with more than 50% of technical issues resolved remotely.<\/p>\n

Following its launch in 2020, the NS40 antenna received A Good Design Award presented by The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design and Metropolitan Arts Press. These are given for the most innovative and cutting-edge industrial, product, and graphic designs produced around the world. Checkpoint\u2019s inventory management and loss prevention system, NEO, which powers the NS42 also won an iF design award in 2018.<\/p>\n
